Install Gemmr to your home screen

Gemmr is now a Progressive Web App. On Android, tap MORE → "Install Gemmr" or use Chrome's install prompt. On iPhone, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Launches straight to your dashboard, full-screen, no browser bar.

Instant waitlist approval

Waitlist signups now receive their invite email immediately on submission instead of waiting for manual approval.

Mobile redesign

New bottom navigation (HOME / SCAN / PROFILE / MORE), redesigned grade tiles for one-handed reading, and the iPhone home indicator and notch are now properly cleared. Touch targets meet a 44×44 minimum throughout the app.

Faster dashboard

Dashboard loads noticeably faster, especially for users with many scans. Image thumbnails now load lazily as you scroll.

Faster scans

Scans complete faster end-to-end. Back-of-card analysis runs in parallel with card identification, and for slabs we skip the identification step entirely when the label already tells us the card.

Long-note scan crashes

Found and fixed a latent bug where unusually detailed grading notes could crash an entire scan. If you've ever had a scan mysteriously fail with no obvious reason, this was probably why.

Slab scanning

When you scan a card that's already in a PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, or TAG slab, Gemmr now detects the slab, crops the card out, and grades it independently. Compare Gemmr's prediction to the grader's actual verdict to test our accuracy on cards you already know the grade of.

Public profile badges

Earn badges as you scan. Membership tier, scan milestones (Collector → Veteran → Centurion → Master → Grandmaster), Outcome Contributor tiers for verified outcomes, and a Specialty badge if 60%+ of your scans are one category. Up to 4 badges show on your public profile.

Founding Member status

Existing beta users earned the Founding Member badge — recognizing the small group that joined during the closed beta. Finite and forever, no new Founding Members will be minted.

Dark mode

Site-wide dark theme. Toggle in the nav or let it follow your OS preference.

Plan & Billing in Settings

Moved to the top of the Settings page for easier access to your scan count and plan tier.

Visual polish across both themes

Text contrast, button colors, input fields, and modal styling tightened up across the whole site for consistency in both light and dark mode.
